Originally organized in 1956, the organization maintains space within the Yanceyville Caswell Museum of History, which is operated by the Town of Yanceyville.

We aim to be a local resource for the community and beyond and to foster a love of history through our museum exhibitions, educational outreach, and genealogical research assistance.
Working in partnership with the Town of Yanceyville, the Friends of the Museum also collaborates with other historical and preservation groups to protect and promote the county’s historic architecture, landscapes, geography, and cultural resources.
In addition to preservation efforts, the Friends of the Museum provides historical and genealogical research assistance for individuals and families seeking to explore their personal connections to Caswell County and the surrounding region.
